Francis – Personal Support
Francis has been at EPIC for a long time. He was part of a local day program for many years but his interest in the program began to wane as he got older. EPIC administrators realized this and eventually reduced his day program schedule to three days – then two days. One day, Francis made it clear to administrators that he wanted to retire. EPIC made arrangements which allowed Francis to enjoy his golden years at his own pace. Now Francis goes to movies, the public playhouse, and museums. He is happier with a more relaxed schedule. How do we know? Easy. You always know when Francis is happy by his greeting. He leans forward and touches his forehead to yours. Today, everyone is greeted with a smile and his trademark forehead tap.
